4 months old!

Madison is 4 months old today...I can't believe it! It's hard to believe that she has been blessing our lives for 4 months already. God has truely blessed us with the most wonderful, loving child. She is so happy and loves to smile and laugh. She plays on the floor and loves kicking her legs. Her favorite toy right now is a duck that has rings and teethers on it. We believe that she has started teething. She is drooling like crazy and will chew on anything she can get a hold of. She is now attempting to roll over. She gets about half way before she gets stuck. I'm sure it won't be long until she will make it the whole way. She is also getting really good at holding her head up. You can definitely tell that her neck muscles are getting stronger. She is losing some of her hair from rolling around on the floor but she still looks beautiful! She is sleeping through the night, well she sleeps until about 6 am. She wakes up to eat and then goes back to sleep until about 8 am.

Last weekend we took Madison out to the beach. This was her first time! She better love it since that is one of our favorite things to do. It was a few days after the Nor'Easter had passed so we were hoping two find some good "finds" but we didn't. That's ok though...it was so nice to get out of the house! It was a beautiful day to get out and ride on the boat and walk the beach.

Mom's Visit

Last week Josh had a business trip to San Diego so I asked my mom to come stay with me and Madison while he was gone. She hadn't seen Madison since she was born so she was excited to see how much she has changed. It seems like everytime my mom comes to visit we have nasty weather...and this trip was no exception. This was the week of the Nor'Easter! So I was disappointed that we were stuck in the house the majority of the week but thankful that I wasn't here alone. We did get to go shopping on Tuesday before the storm and get myself and Madison some clothes. Mom also got a few new things. Madison was so good seeing as how we were gone all day.  Thanks mom for coming up to visit! We love you so much!

One of the hardest things about living here is being away from our families. I wish that we lived closer so that Madison could spend more time with her extended family. Hopefully our prayers will be answered some day soon and we will be back down south. Until then...please come visit us! :)

All clean!!

Mom made this blanket for Madison. It's gorgeous!

If you know Abby, you know how weird this picture is. She ONLY likes me...and apparently my mom now.

Penn State

Josh had a business trip to Penn State at the beginning of November so Madison and I decided to tag along. This was Madison's first time away from home over night. It was about a 7 hour drive so we were a little nervous having Madison in the car that long...but she did GREAT! She slept most of the time and when she wasn't sleeping she was looking out the window. We took her pack n' play with us for her to sleep in and she didn't want any part of that! So she ended up sleeping in the bed with us...good thing we got a king bed! We were worried that she wouldn't want to sleep in her bed when we got home but she settled right back in to her routine. I guess she just really likes her bed! Unfortunately, the weather was perfect for a baby so we didn't get to do much walking around. It was in the 30s and sleeting on the one day that we had to tour the campus so we did a riding tour. Since we couldn't get out and walk around we went to the All-Sports Museum, which was really neat! Here are a few pictures from our trip!

Halloween

I have not been very good at keeping this updated lately...I apologize! We have been so busy these last few weeks with traveling and having visitors. This is the first free moment I have had lately.

My Nanna and Poppop came to visit us the weekend of Halloween. We had such a great time while they were here. This was their first time meeting Madison and they feel in love with her, just like everyone does! :) We had a very eventful Halloween. We dressed her up in her lamb costume and went over to Paul and Laurens to take pictures with Jacob. That was pretty much a disaster. It was hot and windy outside and her costume was very warm! So basically we took pictures and I took the costume off of her as soon as possible. That afternoon we went to our church's Trunk or Treat. It was so nice! We put Madison in her pumpkin outfit that Herb and Linda bought her. She looked great in both outfits! Here are some pictures from Halloween weekend!

New Adventures

As most of you know, Josh and I love being on the boat! So we are hoping that Madison loves it just as much as we do. Thursday afternoon, Madison went on her first boat ride! She was thrilled about it at first but after a feeding (yes, I had to breastfeed on a boat) and a nap, she really enjoyed it! We do believe that we have a future fisherwoman on our hands.

Josh's parents were here this past weekend and we had a great time! They hadn't seen Madison in a few months so it was nice for them to see how much she has grown and changed. Madison is now in #2 diapers! When I put the first one on her and it fit...it actually made me teary eyed! Seriously...where is my baby going? She is getting so big and is no longer my "newborn" baby! She is laughing and squealing and trying to roll over. She has also discovered how to bring her hands together and grab at toys. Linda brought Madison her new Bumbo seat and she really likes it! Madison hates to lay back, she tries so hard to sit up so this seat is perfect!

Saturday was Josh's 29th birthday...so we dressed Madison up in her "I Love Daddy" shirt! Madison gave her daddy a sweet picture frame for his office. His parents bought a DELICIOUS cake from Publix and we had a really nice dinner at Big's Place.

Some other great news...two more births in our family happened over the past few weeks. Shaun and Heather had a baby girl, Kaylie, over the weekend and Shane and Christy had a baby boy, Mason, on October 13. Both babies and moms are doing great! Congratulations to both of you! :)
