Meeting Nanny

We spent this last weekend with Josh's parents and nanny and had a great time. We didn't get out much (seeing as how we have a newborn) but we had a great time bonding at home. This was the first time that Herb and Linda saw Madison since she was a day old. They were here for the birth and then went back to SC the next day so Madison has changed a lot since they last saw her.

This was nanny's first time seeing Madison and we quickly realized that she was now #1...sorry Josh!  :) I don't think nanny put her down all weekend. She would just sit there and stare at her which was so cute! Josh and I are so glad that nanny was able to make the long trip up to see her first great grandchild. It won't be long and her second great grandchild will be here. I'm not sure what she will do with herself with two babies! We can't wait for Christy and Shane to have Mason. Holidays will be so much fun since they will only be about 3 months apart.

Now we are just waiting for Nate and Brittainy to get here on Friday. They haven't met Madison yet so we are really excited for their visit.

Here are a few photos from the weekend.

Madison Grier Freeman

So it has obviously been awhile since I have posted anything on here. Life has been a little busy around the Freeman household!

On July 21, 2009, we welcomed Madison Grier Freeman into the world. She was born at 2:28 pm and was 7 lbs 12 oz and 21 inches long. She was absolutely perfect! The day started out much earlier than we had anticipated. I was scheduled to be induced that morning, so we were to be at the hospital at 8 am. However, God had a different plan for us! My water ended up breaking at 3:30 am while I was sleeping! So Josh, my mom and I headed to the hospital. At 2:28 pm, Madison was here!

My mom, and Josh's parents were here with us the whole day, along with our friends Paul and Lauren. It was really nice having everyone here! My dad was told that he couldn't make the trip due to his chemo treatments, but somehow convinced his doctor to let me come for a short visit. So Dad and Renee got here that Friday and got to spend about a day and a half with us before heading back to SC. We were so glad that they were able to make it up!

So at this point, we are just getting used to having our little bundle of joy around and trying to get as much sleep as we can. She is getting bigger everyday and constantly changing. It's amazing how a month has passed already. Josh's parents and Nannie are coming up next weekend for a visit and then Nate and Brittainy are coming the following weekend. We are looking foward to seeing everyone!

Happy Anniversary!

5 years ago today, I married my best friend! It's hard to believe that it has been 5 years since Josh and I got married. Although, we have been together for 9 1/2 years (WOW)! It seems just like yesterday we were playing volleyball at the AGR house and going to Zaxby's for lunch! :)
We have been through so many things over the past years...living in Florida for several years while Josh was in school, then moving to Virginia and buying our first home and now the birth of our first child. We are truely blessed to have each other and our friends and family. I couldn't be happier than I am right now and I look forward to seeing what our future holds. I love you Joshie!!
