Madison is 2 Months Old

It's hard to believe that Madison is now 2 months old! In a way it seems like I just had her and other times I feel like she has been here forever. She is getting so big and getting quite a personality! Her neck is getting a lot stronger and she tries all the time to hold it up. She likes to sit up instead of laying down now. Little miss independent likes to do things on her own! :) Madison has the sweetest smile! She smiles when we talk to her and has even started laughing a little (it's more like a high pitched squeal but you know what I mean)!

Madison survived her first set of shots yesterday. She had to have 3 shots so Josh and I both went, for moral support for each other! :) She cried for about a minute when the nurse stuck her and my heart just broke! I had tears in my eyes but I was trying to be strong for her. When it was over I picked her up and loved on her and that was that...no more crying! All in all, she was so good! We were so proud!

Our little munchkin now weighs 12 lbs 9 oz and is 23 inches long. The doctor says that she looks great and is so proud of me that I am still breastfeeding. Apparently only about 7% of mothers on the Eastern Shore breastfeed! She has started drooling a lot and he thinks that she could be getting some teeth soon. Lord, I hope not...I was hoping to have a little bit before we entered the world of teething! But we will see!

Tiger from birth

Last night was Madison's first Clemson game! Even though we lost the game, she stayed up most of the night proudly showing her support. :)

As for the game...
I believe that we played a good second half. The first half was just down right embarrassing! It was a disappointing loss after coming back with 27 unanswered points. The quarterback looked pretty good...atleast he can throw the ball! The kicker made a 53 yarder...WOW!!

Uncle Nate and Aunt Brittainy

This weekend Nate and Brittainy came to visit us. We were so excited since this was the first time we had seen Brittainy since Christmas! This was also the first time they saw Madison. I got out of the house for a little bit on Saturday without Madison...which was weird...but needed (at least that is what I tell myself)! Brittainy and I went shopping for a few hours and of course came home with nothing except clothes for Madison! :)

We watched college football all day on Saturday. We didn't get the Clemson game here in VA so it was upsetting that we didn't get to watch the first game of the season. On Sunday we rode around a little bit and then went out to dinner. Madison was so good! She is always good! We are so lucky! :)

Nate and Brittainy...come back soon! We miss you! :)

Here are a few pics from the weekend.

Are you ready for some football?!?!

College football season has arrived! I am so excited!!! Only a few more days until my Tigers take the field. What could be better than that! :)
It has been several years since Josh and I were able to go to a game. We are hoping to make it down this year...Madison has too many cute Clemson outfits that must be seen in public. It's just not the same to have her wear them around the house! :)
Oh and one last thing....Go Wolfpack! Beat those Cocks!!!

Movin' On Up!!

Well, we have hit another milestone...Madison is no longer in her newborn diapers and clothes! I can't believe it! She is only 6 weeks old...I keep asking myself how this is possible. Then I realize that my baby is growing more and more everyday. Before I know it...she will be going to school. :) We didn't even get to put all of her precious newborn outfits on her before she outgrew them.

I have no idea how much she weighs now...I am assuming around 10 lbs. We go back to the doctor on the 21st. I'm excited to see how much she weighs and how long she is now but she is also getting her first set of shots that day too. Now that...I am not excited about. I'm sure it will be just as bad for me as it will be for her.

She is getting so much more alert. She started smiling on her own. She loves to look at us and smile and coo. She is so precious and beautiful. I am not sure I could love her any more than I do. We are truely blessed by God to have such a wonderful, healthy baby!
